The Reliance Power Parts (RPP) warranty policy covers parts and labor necessary to repair a warrantable failure to the functional condition existing immediately prior to the failure as detailed below;
New and remanufactured internal engine parts, complete cylinder heads and long block assemblies for agricultural and industrial applications supplied by RPP are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal service and operating conditions for a period of one year from the date of invoice without limitation on miles or hours of operation.
Engine overhaul kits for heavy-duty on-highway applications supplied by RPP are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal service and operating conditions for a period of two years from the date of invoice without limitation on miles or hours of operation.
Remanufactured clutch and non-engine parts are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal service and operating conditions for a period of six months from the date of invoice without limitation on miles or hours of operation.
Engine accessories such as turbochargers, fuel injectors, hydraulic pumps, lube oil pumps, water pumps, oil coolers, and electrical components are covered for one year from the date of invoice on a parts replacement only basis.
This warranty applies to direct customers of RPP only and is non-transferable.
RPP supplied parts will be covered at current customer pricing. Where available, only new or rebuilt RPP or RPP approved parts will be used in making the repair. OEM or other aftermarket sourced parts used when RPP parts are available will be credited at the RPP part price. OEM or outside parts (that are not available from RPP directly) that are used in the repair will be covered at billed rate and require an invoice for consideration. This applies to engine parts as well as consumables, fluids, and other maintenance items that are not reusable due to the warrantable failure.
Labor coverage, where applicable, will not exceed published flat rate times and a maximum regional wholesale hourly labor rate. Holiday and overtime rates are not covered.
The RPP warranty does not cover failures resulting from owner or operator abuse or neglect, such as operation without adequate coolant, fuel or lubricants, over fueling, over speeding, lack of maintenance of lubricating, coolant or air intake systems, improper storage, starting, warm-up, run-in or shut-down practices. Coverage does not include troubleshooting or diagnostic time, towing, transport, down-time, rental fees, or incidentals including but not limited to delivery charges, travel, meals, lodging, business losses, docking or harbor charges.
The installer is responsible for insuring that the parts are correct for the application and installing parts in a manner consistent with OEM procedures, specifications and accepted industry standards. The owner is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the equipment as specified in the OEM operation and maintenance manuals.
RPP must be notified prior to the end of the warranty period and all warranty repairs must be authorized by RPP technical staff if a warranty claim is to be valid and considered. All claimed parts must be returned to the indicated physical location within 30 days from date of an issued RMA to be considered a valid and considerable claim. In the event of a claim, an RMA and Warranty Claim Form must be requested for the return of parts for warranty consideration. It is the claimant’s responsibility to provide failed and associated parts, a completed Warranty Claim Form and copies of any related work orders or invoices for examination by RPP technical personnel. Parts must be shipped freight pre-paid with all associated paperwork and arrive in a condition that makes examination possible. Parts received without a warranty RMA will be returned to the customer freight collect.
The warranties set forth herein are the sole warranties made by RPP in regard to its parts. RPP makes no other warranties, expressed or implied, of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
